Uzbekistan’s wrestlers win 11 medals at the Asian Championships
The Asian Wrestling Championships have concluded in Kyrgyzstan. According to the competition results, Uzbekistan’s representatives won 11 medals.
In freestyle wrestling, Umidjon Jalolov won a silver medal in the -65 kg weight category. Bronze medals were won by Sherzod Poyonov (-92 kg) and Gulomjon Abdullayev (-61 kg).
In women’s wrestling, Uzbekistan’s Sokhibjamol Esbosinova, Aktenge Keunimjaeva, and Ulmeken Esenbaeva earned bronze medals.
In Greco-Roman wrestling, Uzbekistan’s athletes secured 2 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze medals. In particular, Alisher Ganiyev and Ikhtiyor Botirov became Asian champions, Rafael Tsitsiuashvili won a silver medal, and Shakhzod Kuchkorov and Doniyorkhon Nakibov claimed bronze medals.
