Uzbekistan – Malaysia: Cooperation opens the way to new opportunities
The official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Malaysia will serve to strengthen and bring cooperation between the two countries in economic, trade, cultural, educational, scientific, and other spheres to a high level.
Significant events were held during the visit. In particular, representatives of the leading higher education institutions of the two countries took part in the First Uzbekistan – Malaysia Educational Forum, held in Perak on “Opportunities and initiatives in higher education to achieve sustainable development goals”.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan Kongratbay Sharipov and the Minister of Higher Education of Malaysia Zambry Abdul Kadir emphasized that the two countries have established strong cooperation in higher education.

Representatives of higher education institutions of Uzbekistan visited several higher education institutions in Malaysia, got acquainted with their activities and educational systems, and held talks on establishing cooperation. Following the meetings and negotiations, memorandums of cooperation were signed between the higher education institutions of the two countries.

The delegation of Andijan State University also took part in the forum. Memoranda have been signed between the Andijan State University and Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), and the University Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) to develop scientific ties, establish a mutual exchange of experience, and implement joint educational programs.

During the official visit of the Head of state to Malaysia, agreements were signed that will help bring the Andijan State University’s activities in international cooperation to a new level, implement promising projects and programs, introduce advanced teaching methods, and further expand training opportunities for highly qualified specialists.
