Uzbekistan and China discuss prospects for investment cooperation in the textile sector

Uztuqimachiliksanoat Association hosted a meeting between the delegation from China’s Yifa Commercial Group and the Wenzhou Belt and Road Enterprise Development Association.

Issues of attracting Chinese investments in Uzbekistan’s textile industry, implementing joint production projects, and developing trade in finished products were discussed at the meeting.

The Chinese partners expressed interest in implementing investment projects in Uzbekistan, including establishing a trade and distribution center and organizing the supply of finished products to the domestic market. The parties also considered the possibility of implementing joint projects for the production of artificial and synthetic fibers.

Foreign investors were informed about the favorable investment climate in Uzbekistan, the available business opportunities, and the country’s export potential for textile supplies to the European Union, the United Kingdom, and the CIS countries.

Following the meeting, the parties identified areas for cooperation. The Chinese side invited representatives of Uzbekistan’s textile enterprises to participate in the 16th Yifa Global Fashion Exchange, to be held on August 28-29 in Hangzhou.
