Uzbekistan and Belarus foreign ministries hold political consultations in Minsk
The political consultations between the foreign ministries of Uzbekistan and Belarus were held in Minsk, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan reports.
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Bobur Usmanov led the Uzbek delegation, while the Deputy Minister Pavel Utyupin headed the Belarusian delegation.
The parties addressed ongoing issues in bilateral cooperation and their interactions on international platforms. It was highlighted that relations between Uzbekistan and Belarus are progressing steadily, with cooperation expanding across all major sectors.
The participants focused on enhancing political dialogue, fostering interparliamentary relations, boosting mutual trade, and collaborating on projects in industry, agriculture, and pharmaceuticals. They also aimed to expand cultural and humanitarian connections. Additionally, the significance of constructive cooperation between the two nations within international organizations was highlighted.
A separate issue discussed was the implementation of agreements made during high-level meetings. The parties reaffirmed their foreign ministries’ commitment to continuing comprehensive support for enhancing the partnership between Uzbekistan and Belarus.
Following the consultations, the parties agreed to enhance coordination in preparation for upcoming bilateral events and official visits.
