The Uzbekistan U-20 national team has qualified for the final stage of the Asian Cup.

The Uzbekistan U20 national team confidently secured their spot in the final stage of the 2027 Asian Cup.

The final stage of the U20 AFC Asian Cup will be held in China from March 24 to April 10, 2027. Sixteen teams will participate in the continental championship. In addition to the host nation, China, 15 other participating teams have been identified.

Our country hosted the matches for Group B of the qualifying stage. In it, the U20 national teams of Uzbekistan, Syria, India, and Bangladesh competed against each other. In the decisive group match, our representatives defeated the Syrian national team 3-0.

Diyor Ermanov opened the scoring in the 10th minute of the match. In the second half, Quvonchbek Abrayev scored our team's second goal in the 81st minute, while Davron Tulaganov successfully converted a penalty in the 90+5th minute, securing a decisive victory for our team.

Based on the results of the qualifying stage, the national teams of Uzbekistan, South Korea, North Korea, Tajikistan, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Japan, and Indonesia, which all finished first in their respective groups, earned direct qualification for the final stage. Additionally, the best second-place finishers from the qualifiers—the national teams of Lebanon, Oman, Iran, Jordan, Thailand, India, and Malaysia—will also participate in the continental championship in China.

It is worth noting that the 2027 U20 Asian Cup is also significant for World Cup qualification. The four teams that reach the semi-finals of the continental championship will earn the right to participate in the U20 World Cup.

Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan will co-host the 2027 U20 World Cup. Therefore, regardless of its results in the Asian Cup, Uzbekistan's youth national team will participate in the World Cup as a host nation.
