The role of international experience in maintaining a competitive environment
Dushanbe hosted a Meeting of the Heads of Antimonopoly Authorities of the Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
Deputy Chairman of the Competition Promotion and Consumer Protection Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ulugbek Davlatov attended the event.
As noted at the meeting, changes in the global economy and the development of the digital sector require greater international cooperation in competition protection. In this context, participants discussed exchanging practical experience and information on implementing competition policy among SCO member states.

The Uzbekistan delegation provided information on the results of activities to develop a competitive environment in the country.
It was highlighted that the proportion of enterprises with state involvement in the gross domestic product declined from 55% to 30%. A total of 2,300 anticompetitive actions were prevented, and nearly 912 billion UZS were reimbursed to protect consumers and entrepreneurs. Additionally, 344 manipulation cases at exchange auctions were uncovered, resulting in the recovery of 105 billion UZS.

The Uzbekistan delegation also showcased the Fair Tech system, which has been implemented for digital regulation of the competitive environment.
Following the meeting, agreements were reached regarding organizational issues.
