For the first time in the history of Central Asia, Tashkent will host the 150th Anniversary Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.

This event will take place on April 5-9, 2025, in the Congress Hall in Tashkent. About 2,000 delegates from 180 countries, 15 observer states, and more than 25 international and interparliamentary organizations will attend the event.

The participants will focus on the topic “The Parliamentary Movement for Social Development and Justice”. Such issues as reducing poverty, creating decent working conditions, supporting social inclusion, and increasing the participation of vulnerable groups in decision-making will be discussed during the assembly.

The resolutions of the Union and the Tashkent Declaration will be adopted following the event.
