Projects to be implemented jointly with China in Gijduvan district
A delegation from China visited Bukhara region to enhance economic cooperation and explore opportunities for new joint projects.
During discussions with Farhod Umarov, the Hokim of Gijduvan district, the parties explored ways to expand mutually beneficial cooperation and advance investment projects in the industrial sector.

The Chinese guests received detailed information about Gijduvan district’s economic potential, ongoing industrial infrastructure development, and the opportunities now available to entrepreneurs. They expressed strong interest in the extensive reforms underway in the country, aimed at supporting investors comprehensively and safeguarding their rights and legitimate interests.
Following the negotiations, several key economic agreements were made. These included establishing a modern furniture center, developing pedigree livestock breeding, and launching new industrial projects in Gijduvan district.

During the visit, the delegation also learned about the Gijduvan Free Economic Zone’s activities. Sherzod Ashurov, the FEZ Head, explained the facilities available for investors, including tax and customs incentives, as well as engineering and communications infrastructure.
In addition, the guests visited major enterprises such as G‘ijduvon Eko Bottlers, Buxoro Fayz Tekstil, Sadbarg, and Firsham Mebel.
During the negotiations, practical agreements were established on broadening the export markets for products, adopting innovative technologies, and launching joint projects.
