Presidents of Uzbekistan and Russia hold a telephone conversation
On October 7, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev warmly congratulated the President of Russia on his birthday, sincerely wishing him good health, well-being, continued success and prosperity for the friendly people of Russia.
The Leader of Uzbekistan emphasized Vladimir Putin’s historic role in developing modern Russia and his personal contribution to strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Russia.
The dynamic development of cooperation across all areas was noted with satisfaction. Mutual trade and cooperation between leading enterprises in industry, energy, and other priority sectors continue to grow steadily.
The sides welcomed the fruitful outcomes of the regular meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission and the third Council of Regions, held the previous day in Fergana.
Cultural and humanitarian exchanges continue to expand. The Russian art festival “World of Arts” was successfully held in Uzbekistan, while the Days of Culture of Uzbekistan are currently taking place in Moscow.
The leaders also exchanged views on key issues on the international and regional agenda and discussed the schedule of upcoming events.
