Parliamentary control strengthens
The Senate Committee on Defense and Security and the Research Institute of Criminology of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
The primary goal is to incorporate advanced scientific and methodological approaches into parliamentary oversight processes and enhance the quality of legislation.
It includes conducting an in-depth criminological study of crime factors in different regions, scientific forecasting of crime trends, and enhancing public safety efforts. The parties will collaborate on scientific analysis of the causes and conditions of crime, evaluate the criminogenic situation, and improve the effectiveness of crime prevention. Additionally, an expert analysis of reforms implemented within state programs, including the Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy, is planned.
The memorandum will support scientific and methodological efforts for parliamentary work, strengthen law enforcement reforms, and establish effective mechanisms to ensure public safety in the country.
