The International Trade Forum “Do Business in Syrdarya” has opened at the Center for Entrepreneurs and Artisans in Gulistan. The event is organized by the Syrdarya regional administration in cooperation with the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.

The forum has brought together 300 foreign investors from 20 countries, more than 200 local entrepreneurs, as well as representatives of the embassies of Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Hungary, and Tajikistan, along with delegations from 10 partner regions.

The program opened with a video presentation highlighting the region’s investment opportunities. Acting Hokim of Syrdarya region, Erkinjon Turdimov, addressed the participants in his opening remarks, emphasizing the forum’s importance for the region’s and the country’s development.

Other speakers included the Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the ambassadors of Tajikistan and Hungary, as well as officials from China and Russia. They provided information on the trade and investment conditions created in Uzbekistan and on ongoing joint projects.

The program also featured a presentation of promising investment projects in the region, along with B2B and B2G meetings.

Guests will also take part in the Melon Festival, visit free economic zones in the region, and learn about enterprises established with foreign investment.
