Initiatives in youth policy have been proposed
The 152nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union continues in Istanbul.
The delegation of the Parliament of Uzbekistan, led by Tanzila Narbayeva, Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, is actively participating in the prestigious event themed “Nurturing hope, securing peace and ensuring justice for future generations”.
During the general debates within the assembly, the Uzbek side emphasized the important role of youth in achieving sustainable peace and justice.

In her speech, the Chairperson of the Senate emphasized that youth policy has become one of the key priorities of Uzbekistan’s state policy.
In recent years, more than 100 laws and resolutions concerning youth have been adopted, over 200 benefits have been provided, and broad opportunities have been created for the development of young people.

It was noted that the state program “On the path to a sustainable future” is being implemented this year, under which concrete measures aimed at developing education, science, IT, and innovation, ensuring youth employment, supporting entrepreneurship, and advancing culture, art, sports, and environmental education are being consistently put into practice.
The Uzbekistan 2030 Development Strategy fully aligns with these priority areas and provides specific mechanisms to protect the interests of youth and support the younger generation.
During the event, Uzbekistan put forward initiatives to deepen international cooperation, expand dialogue, and exchange experiences in youth parliamentarism.
