Delegation from Sri Lanka visits the Olympic Village
Members of a delegation led by Aruni Ranaraja, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism of Sri Lanka, visited the Olympic Village in Tashkent and praised the country’s sporting potential.
During a meeting with Deputy Minister of Sports Avazjon Karimov, both parties discussed the possibility of signing a Memorandum of Cooperation. The goal is to strengthen the legal framework for collaboration between the two countries in sports, promote experience-sharing programs for specialists, athletes, and coaches, and foster direct connections among sports federations.

The guests expressed interest in enhancing collaboration in areas such as cricket, field hockey, and Olympic sports. They also proposed organizing joint training camps and competitions and establishing exchanges for specialists.
