DARYA project advances reform of the national qualifications system
Within the framework of the DARYA project implemented by the European Training Foundation, a seminar titled “Institutional development and modern governance models in the national qualifications system”, of significant strategic importance to Uzbekistan, has been organized.
The event is being held by the Institute for the Development of the National Qualifications System in cooperation with UNESCO and international partners.
The issues considered during the seminar are comprehensive and systemic. In particular, one of the key areas is an in-depth analysis of the current state of the national qualifications system, identification of existing problems, and the development of effective solutions. Special attention is paid to the introduction of VNFIL mechanisms. This approach enables citizens to validate their skills even without a formal diploma and plays an important role in increasing employment levels.
Seminar participants are discussing the role of sectoral councils and issues related to strengthening interaction between employers and educational institutions. Particular emphasis is placed on the introduction of micro-qualifications – short-term, goal-oriented forms of training considered an innovative solution that meets the demands of the modern labor market.
Another important feature of the seminar is its role as a platform for international cooperation. It brings together representatives from various ministries and agencies of Uzbekistan, qualification assessment centers, donor organizations, employers, and international experts.
The experiences of Italy and Ireland presented at the seminar open up additional opportunities to study and adapt advanced European practices in Uzbekistan.
