Cooperation with France in green public procurement expands

A meeting was held at the Agency for Industrial Cooperation and Public Procurement, with representatives from Expertise France and the French Development Agency (AFD) in attendance.

Priority areas for cooperation in developing Uzbekistan’s green public procurement system were discussed in detail.

Special attention was given to initiatives to strengthen institutional cooperation in the field, expand the use of digital technologies, and increase the efficiency and transparency of the public procurement process.

Following the meeting, the parties approved a joint action plan to develop the green public procurement system. Implementing this system will contribute to the rational use of budget funds, increase demand for environmentally friendly goods and services, reduce negative environmental impacts, and ensure sustainable economic growth.
