Cooperation between the customs authorities of Uzbekistan and Hong Kong is growing stronger
A meeting with a delegation of the Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department was held at the Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The parties discussed the current state and prospects for developing cooperation in the customs sphere. Particular attention was paid to facilitating international trade, creating favorable conditions for participants in foreign economic activity, adopting modern approaches to customs administration, and increasing the capacity of border crossing points.

The sides exchanged experience on the use of organizational and technological solutions at land border crossing points, digital technologies, and the development of a risk management system.

Representatives of the Hong Kong Customs and Excise Department presented advanced practices and successful experiences from their work. In turn, the Uzbek side familiarized their colleagues with the large-scale reforms underway in the country, including digitalizing the customs system, simplifying customs control procedures, improving risk management mechanisms, and enhancing the quality of public services.
During the visit, the guests became familiar with the activities of the Central Customs Laboratory, the Customs Clearance Center, and the Targeting and Risk Management Department.


Readiness to continue constructive dialogue and strengthen the partnership was expressed.
