At the invitation of the Secretariat of Foreign Affairs of Zibo City, Shandong Province, People’s Republic of China, the Uzbekistan delegation is participating in the “Meeting in Zibo” project, which aims to develop international youth exchange.

Uzbekistan’s team included 10 participants of different age groups – children, young entrepreneurs, and representatives of the SCO Center for Public Diplomacy in Uzbekistan. The center’s chief specialist, Meyerbek Ergashbayev, leads the delegation as the coordinator of this large-scale initiative in Uzbekistan.

As part of the event, the Center for Public Diplomacy organized an evening of Uzbek and Chinese culture. Our youth demonstrated their skills in performing Uzbek and Chinese dances. The audience warmly welcomed the songs and melodies reflecting the unique historical culture of the people of the two countries.

During the event, a masterclass in calligraphy and Uzbek dance was organized. The calligraphy masterclass allowed participants to immerse themselves in the world of Chinese writing art under the guidance of experienced masters and learn the technique of writing hieroglyphs.

The event, a vivid example of cultural exchange and harmony, once again confirmed the importance of preserving and popularizing traditional art in the modern world.
