A forum of civil initiatives on “National priorities and prospects for involvement of civil society institutions in state and public administration” was held in Hyatt Regency Tashkent hotel.

A forum of civil initiatives on “National priorities and prospects for involvement of civil society institutions in state and public administration” was held in Hyatt Regency Tashkent hotel. The official presentation of Yuksalish National Movement took place within the framework of the forum.

The event, organized jointly with representative office of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Uzbekistan, was attended by deputies, representatives of ministries and agencies, non-governmental non-profit organizations, as well as experts of international organizations.

The event was organized to discuss the most pressing issues facing the development of civil society, prepare joint proposals for their resolution and develop new initiatives aimed at increasing the potential of non-governmental organizations in state-implemented reforms for involving civil society institutions in government and public administration.

Within the framework of the forum, an official presentation of the goals, objectives and activities of Yuksalish National Movement took place.

The main directions of its activities are establishment of an open dialogue with people and business community, holding presentations with representatives of academia, civil society institutions, international organizations, promoting the implementation of reforms envisaged in government programs, building an effective public control system, studying and supporting initiatives of citizens and non-governmental non-profit organizations. Opinions and suggestions of the general public will also be studied. Proposals will be compiled and displayed in projects of state programs.

It was emphasized that Yuksalish National Movement will implement projects on improving the legal culture of youth together with Regional Dialogue international non-governmental organization.

Membership in this movement is free and on a voluntary basis. All citizens, as well as compatriots living abroad, representatives of NGOs, civil society institutions, and international organizations can become members. A special portal has been created to simplify the membership.
