On August 30, a ceremony of presenting credentials by newly appointed foreign ambassadors to Uzbekistan took place. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev addressed the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China Yu Jun and noted that Beijing is one of Uzbekistan’s reliable and time-tested friends.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary expressed full agreement with the President of Uzbekistan that bilateral relations in recent years have reached the level of a comprehensive strategic partnership.

– The solemn ceremony made a great impression on us. China always supports Uzbekistan, its reliable partner, and highly appreciates the recent reforms carried out in your country. Relations between the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping play an essential role in the lives of the people of the two countries.

Uzbekistan is also a key partner of China in the Belt and Road project. Cooperation in investment and modern technologies between our countries is gaining momentum, and interaction in trade and economic sectors, transport logistics, and the digital economy is also consistently developing.

Mr. President proposed further developing strong relations between our countries, and we will work hard to bring cooperation to a new level.

Recall that a summit meeting is scheduled within the framework of the Belt and Road International Forum, which will be held in October in China.
