A propagation event entitled “Youths’ train” has been conducted in Surhondaryo Region at the initiative of the Uzbekistan youth union and devoted to the 25th anniversary of the adoption of the country’s Constitution.

This event was conducted in accordance with a Presidential decree dated 5 July 2017 “On increasing the effectiveness of the state youth policy and supporting the activity of the Uzbekistan youth union”.

This event helps to closely familiarize boys and girls with changes and novelties taking place in the country, to strengthen their feeling of involvement in the country’s development and to provide support for families in need of social protection.

A propagation group made up of prominent scientists, actors of cinema and theatre, sportspeople and active members of the Uzbekistan youth union visited the regional centre, districts and distant and remote areas and met local people, including young people. They held a sincere dialogue and used real-life examples to explain that the country’s Constitution had a special role in great achievements of this country, peace and prosperity and in the creation of modern conditions for the younger generation to develop harmoniously. They were also interested to know about young people’s endeavours at educational establishments and military units.

Open dialogues were held at school of music and art No 6 in Boysun district and the Boysun agro-industry vocational college, and their participants found these conversations to be really impressive. Young people of that mountainous district noted proudly that modern conditions being created further strengthened their feelings of love for the Motherland and respect for national values.

“My contemporaries in Boysun have zeal and resolve typical of inhabitants of mountainous areas. Their sincere feelings are worthy of praise. They just need a little nudge. At the events, we heard about boys’ and girls’ achievements and answered their questions. And we draw up measures together to deal with existing problems,” says M.Habibullayev, a student of the Alisher Navoiy Tashkent state Uzbek language and literature university and an active member of the Uzbekistan youth union.

Such open dialogues and propagation events devoted to the essence and significance of the Constitution also took place in the town of Termiz and in Uzun, Sariosiyo, Denov, Oltinsoy, Shorchi and Qizirq districts. An event for the popularization of books was conducted at educational establishments, and collections of books were given to them. A primary organization of the youth union was founded at a military unit. Gifts were given to orphanage No 12 in the town of Termiz.
