Solemn opening ceremony of Friendship Youth Forum of the Central Asian countries took place at the Youth Center of Termez, in Surkhandarya region of Uzbekistan.
The event, organized by the Youth Union of Uzbekistan, brought together over 400 talented young boys and girls from Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. It calls for further increasing their social activity, joint search for solutions to problems existing in the region.
According to reports, 57 percent of the population of Surkhandarya region, bordering Afghanistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, is youth.
– We convey heartfelt greetings from Kyrgyzstan people, – says A.Madaliyev. – Development of Uzbekistan at the new stage and conditions created for youth please us. Our people have good neighborly and friendly ties. This forum is important in continuation of these traditions. I found many friends here. I wish success to the forum’s work, let the bonds of friendship be eternal.
An exhibition of folk arts and crafts of national cultural centers of the region was organized within the framework of the event.
