The resolution of the President of our country “On the Program of comprehensive measures for the development of the system of publication and distribution of book products, improvement of the reading culture” of September 13 of this year serves as an important guide to action in this direction.

Book lovers’ holiday was held in the secondary school No.55 of Fergana district together with the regional information and library center named after Ahmad Fargoni, “Fargona kitob olami” spiritually enlightening shopping complex, as well as the district department of public education.

Views were exchanged on the issues of further replenishment of libraries with socio-political, artistic and children’s literature for strengthening the love of youth for books, organization of reading evenings.

– Such events as “My favorite book”, “The best school of book lovers”, “Love for reading starts in a family”, “I will give a book to a child” are being held in educational institutions, – says director of the regional information and library center Shokhidbek Aslonov. – In the present era of globalization, it is important to protect youth from various spiritual threats, increase the reading culture. Presentations of new books, exhibitions organized in schools evoke great interest among the participants. Today’s event is also a vivid confirmation of this.
