A video conference was held in Tashkent by the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan on “Youth – against corruption”.

It was attended by employees of Extra-Budgetary Pension Fund, specialists in the field of finance and treasury of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions and the city of Tashkent, particularly, young personnel.

The event was aimed at ensuring implementation of Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On combating corruption", which entered into force on January 4, 2017, as well as resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On measures for implementing provisions of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On combating corruption" of February 2, 2017.

At the video conference, sides exchanged views on improving effectiveness of reforms implemented in the fight against corruption in Uzbekistan, work carried out among young people, identification, prevention and elimination of corruption phenomena.

Reports of responsible employees of training center under the Ministry of Finance, members of expert group of the Republican Interdepartmental Commission on combating corruption, specialists of National Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan for human rights, teachers of Tashkent State Law University were heard during the event.

The sides exchanged views on implementation of Regulations on prevention and fight against corruption in treasury departments, measures for preventing corruption among youth in the field of public administration, young people’s constitutional rights in labor legislation and methods of their protection, improving legal knowledge and culture among youth in the fight against corruption.
