The UNESCO representative office in Uzbekistan and the Ozbekkino (Uzbek cinema) national agency are conducting a training seminar for young filmmakers in the capital city Tashkent.

The seminar is being held for the purpose of improving the art of making films in this country, specifically studying and discussing the current state of and prospects for the development of Uzbek national cinematography.

Training has been arranged for filmmakers, producers and scriptwriters. Master classes were conducted by international experts, academicians and cinematographers.

“In the sphere of cinema, training qualified specialists is one of its main tasks. Great attention being paid to the country’s cultural sphere gives inspiration and creative enthusiasm not only to young creative workers but also to specialists who have already found their niche in this sphere,” says academician Akbar Hakimov.
