The opening ceremony of the prestigious international subject Olympiads, the Bukhara International Chemistry Olympiad (BICHO-2026) and the Bukhara International Mathematics Olympiad (BIMO-2026), was held at Bukhara State University.

Among the participants are more than 100 teams from over 10 countries, including Russia, Turkmenistan, Jordan, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, India, China, and Tajikistan. A total of 500 talented young men and women will demonstrate their knowledge.

Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Abror Jurayev, Head of the Center for Higher Education Development Research Abduvali Holiqov, and Deputy Hokim of Bukhara region Hafiza Ortiqova emphasized that Bukhara has for centuries been a center of science and education, and that these traditions are now reaching a new level.

These events, conducted on the principles of fairness and transparency, will undoubtedly play an essential role in developing young people’s intellectual potential.
