Young rescuers’ competition
The republican phase of the “Young rescuer” competition among students of general education schools has taken place in Navoiy.
The republican phase of the “Young rescuer” competition among students of general education schools has taken place in Navoiy.The competition was arranged by the Ministry of Emergencies jointly with the Ministry of Public Education, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Central Council of the Kamolot public youth movement. 14 teams from the Republic of Qoraqalpoghiston, the regions and the city of Tashkent participated in this competition.
It was said that under the leadership of the President of the country, special attention was being paid to bringing up a harmoniously developed generation and to increasing their physical and intellectual potential.
This competition helps to enrich the younger generation’s knowledge about civil defence and also helps them to be able to act correctly in emergencies and to provide help for others.
Within the framework of the event, there were exhibitions showing the work of “Young rescuers” clubs functioning at educational institutions.
The participants competed in such things as civil defence, the provision of emergency medical aid, the use of rope to cross a river, the putting up of a tent, physical exercises in actions in emergencies and a relay race for 100 metres.
The “Spasateli (rescuers)” team of Navoiy Region achieved first place. The “Ekstremaly (thrill seekers)” team of the capital city took second place, and the “Boburiylar (Bobur’s descendants)” team of Andijon Region took third place.
Awards were also given to participants who had won such nominations as “The best team slogan”, “the best photo album on club work”, “the best club uniform”, “the best exhibition”, “the best rescuer”, “the best team flag”, “team with the best mountaineering training”, “the most united team”, “the most knowledgeable team” and “team providing the best medical aid”.
Diplomas and memorable gifts were given to the winner teams.
