Young people actively participating in election campaign events

In the 4 December 2016 elections of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, more than 30 thousand young people in Khorazm Region will be voting for the first time.Various events are being conducted at secondary special, vocational training and higher education institutions in Khorazm Region for young people who are to vote in elections for the first time. Pamphlets under the slogan of “Student today – voter tomorrow”, “Your vote is of crucial significance” and “I will be voting for the first time” and campaign banners put up in localities serve to closely familiarize young people with the electoral legislation and further raise their law culture.
At events being arranged by Khorazm district electoral commission No 12 for the elections of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in cooperation with the Kamolot public youth movement and some other organizations, detailed information is being provided about the national electoral system created under the leadership of the country’s First President, the essence and significance of the law on elections of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and changes and addenda made to it in recent years as well as voters’ rights and liberties enshrined in the Constitution.
A student of the Turpoqqala services vocational college in Hazorasp District, Bakhtjon Olimboyev, will also be voting for the first time in this political event that is of important significance to the country’s life.
“Recently I reached the age of 18. On election day, I will exercise my constitutional right. Speeches made by experienced specialists at propagation events conducted at our college help us increase our knowledge about elections. On election day, I will vote for the candidate of my choice, ” says B.Olimboyev.
