As part of the project “With Diploma to Business”, Andijan State University has hosted an academic seminar to discuss issues pertinent to nurturing a new generation of specialists who take active part in shaping the civil society as well as bolstering the entrepreneurship skills of the youth.

The event was organized by the Andijan regional council of the Movement of Entrepreneurs and Business People – the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, regional departments of secondary special professional education and the Central Bank. The decree of the head of our state “On Additional Measures to Engage Graduates of Education Institutions in Entrepreneurship Activities”, signed 28 July 2010, serves as an important factor in supporting the youth willing to make career in entrepreneurship and business.

The interest of young entrepreneurs in the project “With Diploma to Business” has been rising from year to year. In particular, more than three thousand graduates have presented their business projects this year during the district and city rounds. As the qualifying commission decided, 160 participants and 260 projects were entitled for the regional round of the contest.

During the occasion, young entrepreneurs presented their business projects. Authors of 160 business schemes were awarded with certificates that entitle the holders for bank loans.

“I am glad that my project designed to promote fishery with an intensive method has received a positive appraisal,” says the graduate of Altinkul College of Economics Sarvarbek Jumabaev. “I have been granted with a certificate that will allow to apply for a soft loan of 5 million 900 thousand soums at the district branch of Agrobank. That will become a great support for my business.”
