These days, Uzbekistan’s young athletes are participating in the international sports competitions.

Young brothers-athletes from Samarkand Alimardon and Alisher Makhmudovs defended the honor of Uzbekistan in the World Short Track Speed Skating Championships in Russia’s Tver.

Alimardon became the best in four directions at once. He beat his rivals at distances of 222, 333, 500, and 2000 meters, and Alisher took a place among the winners.

The young athletes’ achievements in short-track tournaments indicate that winter sports are becoming popular among the youth of Uzbekistan.
