The monument of Yogochli Sardoba (in some sources, Ogochli), located in Gumbaz village of Syrdarya region’s Sardoba district, is a unique example of the tangible cultural legacy of Uzbekistan.
Built at the end of the 16th century by the Decree of Emir Abdullakhon II of Bukhara, this building is notable for having been preserved in its original form for five centuries of its existence.
At the initiative of the Syrdarya regional department of the Cultural Heritage Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan, an off-site press conference was organized in the courtyard of the historic building. It was attended by representatives of the republican and local media, representatives of the local intelligentsia, and youth.

The possibilities of including Yogochli Sardoba in the UNESCO World Heritage List, as well as the prospects of turning the monument into a major tourist attraction visited by foreign tourists, were discussed during the conversation.

At the ceremony, UNESCO expert Can Şakir Binan was presented with the book “Sardobalar”, written by Sobirjon Usmonov, a member of the Union of Journalists of Uzbekistan, a veteran of labor.

The architectural design and engineering solutions of Yogochli Sardoba reflect the advanced knowledge of its time. Its domed shape, ventilation system, ideal staircase, and other rooms – all this testifies to the deep knowledge and rich experience of our ancestors, serving as a valuable source for the younger generation.
