Xinjiang method: Two types of output in one season
09:00 / 2026-01-20

Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ibrohim Abdurakhmonov, accompanied by Hokim of Akkurgan district Tura Bobolov, visited Tiancheng Agricultural Equipment LLC, a plant for the production of agricultural machinery located in the district, and familiarized himself with the organization of the production process, the company’s technical capabilities, and the equipment it manufactures.

The enterprise has established the production of modern seeders designed for sowing cotton using the Xinjiang method. Currently, 120 people are employed at the plant, most of whom are local young specialists.

A system of continuous after-sales service for the manufactured equipment has been put in place, creating additional convenience for farmers. The enterprise’s production capacity allows for an annual output of 5,000 to 8,000 seeders. During the visit, an innovative approach aimed at increasing the incomes of agricultural producers was presented.

In particular, the manufactured seeders allow not only cotton to be sown but also cumin between the rows. This approach ensures more efficient use of land resources and enables additional income. As a result, farmers can cultivate two types of crops within a single agricultural season and obtain double economic benefits.

The Minister emphasized the importance of testing this technology in practice. As part of the experimental phase, 200 seeders are planned to be deployed in the districts of Tashkent region. Based on the results obtained, further measures and stages of project implementation will be determined.

As part of the visit, a practical seminar was also held focusing on increasing the efficiency of the agricultural sector and the widespread introduction of best practices. The event, held via videoconference, was attended by deputy hokims of Tashkent region and its districts responsible for agriculture and water management, heads of sectoral organizations and research institutes, and leaders of farming enterprises.
