Xi'an hosts a meeting of Chinese and Central Asian foreign ministers
The Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and the First Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan are visiting Xi'an (Shaanxi Province, China) to attend the fourth meeting of foreign ministers in the “China – Central Asia” format.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov, along with his Central Asian counterparts, held talks with a member of the State Council, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of China Qin Gang.
It is known that the main task of the fourth meeting of foreign ministers in the “China – Central Asia” format is comprehensive political preparation for the successful holding in China of the First Summit of Heads of State in the “China – Central Asia” format, which the parties agreed on in June last year.
The parties discussed the program of the future summit, cooperation between China and Central Asia in various fields, as well as international and regional issues of common interest.
