An online workshop on “Governance Indicators in Uzbekistan” was held with representatives of the World Justice Project.
Deputy Minister of Justice M. Ikramov spoke about the systematic work being carried out in Uzbekistan to ensure human rights, strengthen accountability and openness of government bodies, and enhance the role of civil society institutions, the media, the political activity of the population, and public associations.
World Bank Chief Economist and author of the “Governance Indicators” Aart Kraay provided detailed information on the methods of their formation, data collection and validation processes. In particular, he noted that these indicators consist of six independent indicators on the global study of the quality and effectiveness of public administration in 213 countries based on more than 30 sources.

Employees of the Ministry of Justice presented data on the work done in the country to improve the quality and efficiency of public administration.
Representatives of the World Bank highly appreciated the significance of this meeting and noted the importance of continuing practical cooperation in the future.
