The World Society for the Study, Preservation and Popularization of the Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan with the support of the international oil service company Eriell Group presents the concept of a new publication for a wide range of readers – “Dictionary of Art Terms” in three languages.

Almost each of the 35 volumes already published in the series of book-albums “Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan in the Collections of the World” is accompanied by a glossary that includes concepts related to various types of fine and applied arts. The material prepared within the framework of this project became the initial source for the compilation of the new dictionary.

The specificity of the dictionary is that the book will include mainly terms related to the traditional art of Uzbekistan. It was decided to enrich it with new concepts that were not presented in the published volumes.

The vast majority of terms included in the glossary are accompanied by photos depicting the object itself.
