The Standardization, Metrology and Certification Agency of Uzbekistan hosted a scientific practical conference dedicated to May 20 – the World Metrology Day.

The event was attended by leading metrology specialists of Uzstandard Agency, specialists of Tashkent State Technical University, Andijan State University, Tashkent Chemical Technology Institute, ministries of Defense and Construction of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Navoi Machine-Building Plant and other organizations.

Participants of the event considered the main provisions of the new edition of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Metrology”, issues of analytical verification, metrological support and approbation of products by a method that does not violate the functional suitability of samples of the products being tested.

Attention was paid to issues of using in the industry of means for testing the quality of cotton fiber, problems of metrological activity in construction industry and telecommunications, and a number of problems of practical metrology.

Participants of the “Metrology – 2018” conference got acquainted with new samples of measuring equipment.
