Health is one of the main values of every person. In the modern rhythm of life, in the presence of constant stressful situations, it is difficult to allocate time to improve your own body. Attracting people's attention to a healthy lifestyle is an important task of the holiday, which was called World Health Day.
World Health Day is celebrated on April 7. This is an important event for everyone who cares about their well-being, a healthy body and a strong spirit.
The idea of proclaiming World Health Day was put forward already at the first session of the World Health Assembly in 1948. However, that year this holiday was celebrated on July 22 – the day of the ratification of the WHO Statute.
Every year, World Health Day is held under a certain motto and has a clear theme. The topic that is the most problematic, requiring intervention and control at the moment, is touched upon. The motto of the World Health Day celebrated this year is “Health For All”.
Like all holidays, World Health Day has its traditions, such as celebration with mass events, conferences and flash mobs, free consultations with key specialists are held in medical institutions, where everyone can get information on how to prevent the appearance and development of many diseases, about the need for annual medical examination to detect health problems early.
Public events dedicated to a healthy lifestyle are held in large cities. Activists organize thematic flash mobs and engage in educational work. The main goal is to motivate people to take care of their health and undergo regular examinations.
WHO has named constant physical activity as the main and most important component of health.
Physical activity refers to any kind of body movement that requires muscle contraction and energy expenditure.
Insufficient physical activity is one of the causes of many non-communicable diseases, such as cancer, diabetes, heart disease. This is the fourth most important cause of global mortality.
Physical activity includes any kind of movement, be it walking, dancing, games, sports. It is not for nothing that they say: “Movement is life”.
Several resolutions, decrees, programs and other regulatory legal acts have been adopted in the Republic of Uzbekistan in reforming and modernizing the healthcare system, which serves as an important factor in accelerating work to eliminate existing problems and shortcomings, ensure the provision of effective medical care, and introduce modern methods and technologies into medical practice.
As the President noted, the state is ready to direct any means and opportunities to ensure the health of our people.
