The Consumers International held a webinar under the slogan “Tackling Plastic Pollution”.

The event was attended by the Chairman of the Federation of Societies for Consumer Rights Protection of Uzbekistan Jahongir Sarimsoqov.

Director General of Consumers International, Helena Leurent, emphasized that plastic waste is causing enormous harm to the environment around the world. She noted the need for changing the attitude of consumers to environmental pollution, about the meaning of the so-called 7 R (Rethink, Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Repair and Replace).

On March 15, the Federation of Societies for Consumer Rights Protection of Uzbekistan plans to hold a press conference timed to the World Consumer Rights Day.
