World Bank predicts Uzbekistan’s economic recovery in 2021 by 4.3 percent
According to the World Bank, in Central Asia, growth is expected to recover to 3 percent in 2021, supported by a modest rise in commodity prices and foreign direct investment as the subregion deepens its integration with China’s Belt and Road Initiative.
This forecast was made in the World Bank Group Flagship Report “Global Economic Prospects”.
World Bank experts estimate GDP growth in Uzbekistan last year at 0.6 percent, as well as give an optimistic forecast for 2022, predicting an increase of 4.5 percent.
