The Boards of Executive Directors of the World Bank and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) approved financing for the construction of a solar station in Navoi region.
The project is being implemented within the framework of the Scaling Solar Program, which aims to attract private investment in solar energy.
Financing of the project for the construction of the solar station by Masdar in Navoi region is carried out at the expense of the guarantee of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, amounting to $5.1 million, and borrowed funds of the IFC up to $41 million. The project will also be the first World Bank guarantee operation in Uzbekistan.
