On 28-29 May, Bulgaria will host an International Kurash Tournament for the prize of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The importance of this prestigious tournament was discussed at a press conference at the Ministry of Sports Development. The head of the Kurash Department at the National Olympic Committee, Kamol Usmanov, and a department head at Uzbekistan Kurash Federation, Zarnigor Yusupova, spoke about the procedure for holding the competition, about the participating states.

Athletes from almost 20 countries of the world will take part in the competition. Men will compete in weight categories of 73, 90 and above 90 kilograms, and women in weight categories of 63 and above. Uzbekistan will be represented by the champion of the continent and the world, winner of the Asian Games Mukhsin Khisomiddinov and multiple champion of the country Malikakhon Kakhkharova.
