17:58 / 2025-10-06

The Institute of Mechanics and Seismic Stability of Structures named after M.T. Urazbaev of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, hosted an international workshop devoted to research in relevant areas such as ecology, water-saving technologies, and problems of soil degradation and air pollution.

The event aims to identify mechanisms for addressing the problem of water scarcity in conditions of soil erosion resulting from irrigation, reducing harmful emissions from industrial activities, and other environmental safety concerns.

The event also features a roundtable discussion on the issues affecting the Aral Sea basin.

The workshop became an effective platform for the exchange of experience and knowledge between experts and scientists on water resources management, solving environmental problems, and reducing harmful emissions into the atmosphere, as well as developing recommendations and a roadmap for further research, expanding cooperation between experts from different countries, and forming new research projects.

The lively discussions provided an opportunity to generate new initiatives and develop innovative solutions to problems relevant to the Central Asian region.
