Tashkent hosted the first Uzbek-Korean workshop on business cooperation.

The event was organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, KOTRA Agency, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea.

The workshop was aimed at establishing direct business contacts between the business people of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea, further expanding and deepening Uzbek-Korean relations, increasing the volume of mutual trade, as well as implementing joint projects and cooperation in various sectors of the economy.

During the workshop, presentations were made by more than 20 leading Korean companies such as Genesis Digital Korea Co.Ltd, Hyundai Motor Korea, Woosung E&S, Wee Co.Ltd, Sinkhan Machine, Taeho Machinery Co.Ltd.

The event was attended by promising Korean companies engaged in production of electrical, food and construction materials, as well as representatives of more than 70 Uzbekistan companies, small and private businesses.

Representatives of Korean companies showed great interest in establishing long-term and mutual cooperation with domestic enterprises for supplying equipment, raw materials, technologies and know-how.
