At a time when the Days of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan are being held in Azerbaijan with great success, theatre audiences in Uzbekistan can enjoy works by Azerbaijani artists.

At the Uzbek National Academic Drama Theatre, a production based on Uzeyir Hajibeyov’s work “Arshin Mal Alan” has been staged. A significant contribution to the staging of this work in theatres across the country was made by the outstanding director and People’s Artist of Uzbekistan, Bakhodir Yuldashev. Therefore, the performance is dedicated to the memory of the national theatre’s founder.

In addition, the Uzbek State Academic Musical Theatre named after Muqimi presented to audiences the play “The Mother-in-Law”, based on a work by Azerbaijani playwright Majid Shamkhalov. The production was directed by Doston Haqberdiyev, with Akmal Turayev serving as the conductor-director.
