Tashkent hosted an event dedicated to beginning work under a joint contract with the French company SUEZ to transform the water supply system.

At the event organized by Toshkent Shahar Suv Ta’minoti LLC, it was noted that the foundation for cooperation was laid four years ago. SUEZ was chosen as a partner because it is a well-known international company with 160 years of experience in global water management. Within the framework of the contract “Plan for a fundamental change in the water supply system of the city of Tashkent”, designed for 7 years, it is planned to:

• Install 650,000 smart meters;

• Modernize laboratory equipment for in-depth studies to improve water quality;

• Install water quality control sensors in the branches of the water supply company and the network. It will increase control and ensure it in real-time;

• Create a mobile application to serve customers at a high level;

• Promptly detect water leaks, and optimize energy consumption at water and sewage pumping stations and wastewater treatment plants.
