Women – Safeguarding Peace
14:54 / 2025-07-16

The role of women in society and their participation in various fields is steadily increasing in Uzbekistan. At the initiative of the President, several state programs are being implemented aimed at empowering women and ensuring gender equality.

Particular attention is given to the opportunities created for women serving in the Armed Forces. Alongside their male counterparts, they perform vital duties such as maintaining peace and ensuring the safety of citizens.

Special mention should be made of the potential and combat readiness of the “followers of Tumaris” – women serving in the ranks of the National Guard.

Military service demands determination, courage, and a high level of physical fitness.

The results of efforts in this area were demonstrated during recent combat training exercises held at a specialized training ground of the National Guard. As part of these activities, women participated actively in all phases of the exercises alongside their male colleagues.

They successfully carried out tasks such as executing tactical operations, rapid movement, marksmanship, decision-making under combat conditions, and providing first aid. These exercises not only enhance practical skills but also strengthen combat morale.

The “followers of Tumaris” in the ranks of the National Guard exemplify the high professional potential of women and serve as a vivid demonstration of the country’s implementation of gender equality principles.

Thanks to their physical and spiritual strength, as well as their strong sense of responsibility, our women play an essential role in the military sphere.
