The event, organized by the khokimiyat (administration) of Fergana region, the regional Women's Committee jointly with other organizations in the framework of implementation of the State program "Year of Healthy Mother and Child", was attended by over 300 women.

Deputy Khokim of Fergana region, the chairman of the regional Women’s Committee T.Tojieva and others noted that under the leadership of President Islam Karimov particular attention is paid to maternal and child protection, strengthening women’s health, and sport development, especially female.

Currently, in the Fergana region more than 665 thousand women regularly engage in sports. In order to attract rural women to sports activity are organized competitions as “Princess of Sport”, “Dad, Mom, and Me - a sports family”, “Princess of “Kamolot”.

For the participants of the festival were held competitions in swimming, running, and volleyball.

At the festival, which was attended by housewives, nurses, educators, entrepreneurs, farmers, was held the rewarding of the winners in various categories.
