Women’s and young people’s employment is a topical issue

A seminar has been held in Qarshi District of Qashqadaryo Region on urgent tasks of further expanding possibilities for graduates of vocational colleges and women to use banking services.At the event held by the central council of the Milliy Tiklanish democratic party of Uzbekistan in cooperation with the Uzbekistan Women’s Committee and the Mikrokreditbank joint stock commercial bank, it was said that special attention was being paid under the leadership of the country’s President to supporting enterprising women and craftswomen and ensuring the employment of graduates of vocational colleges.
The presidential decrees dated 28 July 2010 “On additional measures to involve graduates of educational institutions in entrepreneurial activities” and of 25 May 2004 “On additional measures to support the activity of the Uzbekistan Women’s Committee” are important programme documents in this sphere.
“The constant attention being focused on the development of small business and private entrepreneurship serves to create new jobs and raise the population’s living standards,” says Bekzod Torayev, a specialist of the regional council of the Milliy Tiklanish democratic party of Uzbekistan.
At the event, speeches were heard on the subject of “Supporting women’s entrepreneurship is a priority task” and on the reason and procedure for obtaining bank credits.
There was an exchange of views on giving comprehensive support to small business and private entrepreneurship entities and creating even more favourable conditions and additional privileges for them.
Such an event also took place at the Shahrisabz District children’s music and art school.
