UNODC Regional Office for Central Asia, the Agency for Youth Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan held Tashkent International Model United Nations (MUN) Conference, which has become one of the most global youth projects in Central Asia.

The event, held at Westminster International University in Tashkent, was attended by over 200 talented young people, as well as those who are interested in solving the global problems of students.

Participants of the conference discussed the issues related to the economic recovery to address modern challenges of hunger, health and food security during the COVID-19 pandemic, the impact of COVID-19 on the lives of refugees, the school education for children in conflict zones, enhancing the use of sustainable energy sources in developing countries, crime prevention, ensuring justice and the rule of law in achieving 17 SDGs, the impact of COVID-19 on world peace and security, and vaccination.
