Wisdom to represent Uzbekistan at the World Cup
On August 2, the regular World Schools Team Championship starts in Washington, USA.
Fifty-five school teams from more than 40 countries have applied to participate in the tournament, which is being held for the second time.
Uzbekistan will be represented at the championship by the Wisdom team, the winner of this year’s School League.
The competition, organized by the International Chess Federation in cooperation with the International School Chess Federation, will be held according to the Swiss system and will consist of eight rounds.
A conference devoted to the role of chess in the school education system will be held on August 4-5 as part of the championship.
The tournament will run until August 7.
