The Sirdaryo Regional stage of the “Istiqlol Ghunchalari” (buds of independence) contest has taken place in Guliston, the regional centre. More than 150 children took part in various areas of the contest.

The Sirdaryo Regional stage of the “Istiqlol Ghunchalari” (buds of independence) contest has taken place in Guliston, the regional centre. More than 150 children took part in various areas of the contest.

It was noted that the contest arranged by the regional council of the trade unions within the framework of the Year of Maternal and Child Health state programme and the “Trade unions to children” campaign makes children interested in art and thus serves to instil in them feelings of love for the Motherland, devotion to ideas of independence and respect for national values, and to provide comprehensive support for talented children.

In this contest, children aged between 7 and 16 displayed their talent in four nominations.

In the “traditional performance” nomination, the “Dehkon bolalari” ensemble of Guliston District’s centre of culture and recreation took first place.

Shohjahon Abduganiyev won first place in the variety art nomination.

The dance group “Lola” of Guliston District won in the “solo and collective dance” nomination. And in the “solo and ensemble instrument performance” nomination, a representative of Sirdaryo District, Samandar Ismatillayev, achieved first place.

The winners will be taking part in the republican stage of the contest.
